All meetings will be held in the JDHS Auditorium that will start at 5pm.

Homeschool Students Outside of JSD Activities Info

Homeschool students in grades 9-12 can apply to participate in athletics at a public school. The eligibility of these students must be verified prior to the first day of practice of the sports' season. It is the parent and student responsibility to submit a current transcript and schedule/proof of enrollment to the JDHS Activities to verify eligibility.

Steps for anyone wishing to participate in JSD activities at the high school level but is enrolled in a homeschool program needs to complete the following steps before being cleared to participate in JDHS Activities:

  1. Transcripts and proof of enrollment submitted to activities office
  2. All registration and requirements are completed on Planet HS (planeths.com) and verified by activities office including a current physical exam uploaded to the participant’s account
  3. Alternative Education Participation form completed
  4. JSD Alternative Education Participation fee of $300 paid to activities office has been collected

Hello Crimson Bear families,

If you have a graduating senior in your household, please check out our year book site **https://sites.google.com/view/totem2026/buy-yearbook)**for important information on senior portraits, senior shout outs, baby pictures, etc.  Everything is on the site including instructions on how to turn in senior portraits, requirements for the portraits, links for submission of any and all photos for the YB, and a whole host of other YB-related stuff including pre-ordering the yearbook.  The website is dynamic so check back often as content changes almost monthly.  Important deadlines to remember:

  • senior portraits, due 12/1 (after this date, we will use your school photo)
  • (optional) senior shout outs - these are from parents/families and are often a pleasant surprise for the graduating student. These requests must be submitted by 12/1 and payment due no later than two weeks after.  Sorry cash or check only.
  • (optional) baby photo of your graduating senior -- due 11/1

Activities Registration

Our eligibility software, Big Teams, will be changing to Arbiter on 7/1/26. Guardians, please take the time to ensure you have a copy of your student’s current sports physical. If you need to contact Teen Health for this information, please call them at 523-1634, or have your student visit rm.124. Once the switch to Arbiter is completed, we will be sending out instructions via the Activities Page on the JDHS website and via Sports You on how to make a new family account. Thank you for your patience during this period of transition.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Juneau Teen Health Center offers FREE Sports Physicals to high school athletes.

Students can stop by Room 124 to schedule an appointment or can call 907.523.1634. Sports Physical appointments are NOT available every day, but are offered multiple times each month. Please plan ahead and schedule in advance.

Physicals are valid for 18 months. Free sports physicals may be obtained through our Teen Health Center. Other options include your personal Physician or Juneau Urgent Care.
