Parents make a significant difference in their child's success.  We are grateful for your interest and support.  Working together we hope to help each child achieve their very best.  Below are some resources and ideas to support JDHS parents/guardians.

Newsletters are sent out by email and posted online monthly on the JDHS website under School info and Parents.  http://jdhs.juneauschools.org/parents-c8377583   Hard copies will be available at the office upon request.

JDHS PARENT GROUP meets on the last Thursday at noon in the upstairs library.  All parents are warmly invited.   Parent Group Minutes are sent out on theJDHS_Parent Group list and will be posted online.  Please check online at www.jdhs.juneauschools.org/parents-c8377583/parent-group-page-17f72bbc to review them.  The Parent Group provides monthly Student Recognition Lunch for students (who are nominated by teachers for doing something special at JDHS) and their parents.  Donations of food, assistance and/or funds are sought each month for the lunch -- if you can help with food or funds, please be in touch with Lisa Baker in the Main Office. 

JDHS SITE COUNCIL meets on the first Monday of the month at 5 pm in the JDHS library.  It is made up of parents, teachers, support staff, students, and community members.  All Site Council  http://jdhs.juneauschools.org/parents-c8377583/site-council-page-8dba00b7 meetings are open to the public.  For more information see:

  if you need help.  PowerSchool is web-based in real time so you see everything that has been entered up to that minute.  Please note that anything in blue is a link.  For instance, if you click on a blue attendance total you will see a breakdown of periods missed and the reason.  If you click on a grade in blue you will see a list of individual assignments and the grades for each one.  You can also look for missing assignments.
